Due to insufficient production of domestic oil and gas, Afghanistan still depends on the import of petroleum products from neighboring and regional countries. Therefore, AOGC, in cooperation with its partners, concludes business contracts and mutual understandings for the import of oil and gas. In compliance with international and national standards, the company has created and improved transportation networks, and sufficient and strategic reserves of oil and liquid gas in different parts of the country to efficiently supply and distribute oil and gas throughout the country.
Realizing the needs of citizens in the cold weather, AOGC tries to prevent the shortage in the market by increasing the import capacity and distribution of petroleum products. The company provides funds and necessary facilities to timely buy liquefied gas from the exporting countries. Also, by creating storage and developing reserves in other provinces of Afghanistan, the company ensures the delivery of the petroleum products regularly and safely to all parts of the country and make them available for people round the year.
This company also prevents commercial violations and hoardings of petroleum products by complying with the rules and regulations related to pricing, stocking, and market control. Considering the importance of liquefied gas as one of the sources with government credit for the citizens of Afghanistan, AOGC is committed to provide and supply this product adequately and cheaply in the winter season with the efforts and cooperation of all stakeholders.
