IT Systems Officer

Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation is seeking a qualified and motivated IT Systems Officer to support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of digital systems, databases, internal applications, and technical support services.

The position will contribute to reliable system operations, user support, data accuracy, and the continuous digital transformation of AOGC.

Provide technical support to users for internal systems, software, and digital platforms.

Assist in maintaining databases, dashboards, reports, and system records.

Support the implementation and configuration of ERP, MIS, and web-based systems.

Monitor system performance and report technical issues to the responsible team.

Coordinate with departments to collect requirements and improve digital workflows.

Prepare basic technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.

Ensure proper data entry, data validation, backup coordination, and information security practices.

Support troubleshooting of hardware, software, network, and application-related issues.

Assist in testing new features, reporting bugs, and verifying system updates.

Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

At least 2 years of relevant experience in IT support, MIS, database management, ERP systems, or software implementation.

Good understanding of web applications, databases, reporting tools, and office productivity software.

Familiarity with Laravel, React, ERPNext, MySQL, or similar technologies is an advantage.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Ability to work with technical and non-technical users in a professional manner.

Fluency in Dari or Pashto and working knowledge of English is preferred.
