Kabul – July 21, 2026 The Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation (AOGC), operating under the General Directorate of State-Owned Corporations, has officially launched a monitoring campaign of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) sales at government distribution centers.
The initiative is aimed at ensuring market stability, enforcing the officially approved prices, and protecting the rights of consumers.
As part of this campaign, the Corporation's inspection team conducted field visits to government LPG distribution centers across Kabul Province to verify that LPG is being sold in full compliance with the prices approved by the Corporation.
During the inspections, and in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, distribution centers found selling LPG above the approved price were sealed and closed pending further legal procedures.
In addition, to facilitate the prompt handling of public complaints, dedicated contact numbers have been installed and displayed at the monitored government LPG distribution centers.
Citizens are encouraged to report any violations or cases of overpricing through these channels for immediate action.
The Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation reaffirms its commitment to maintaining market stability, ensuring fair and transparent pricing, and safeguarding consumers' rights.
