Construction Project for Administrative Building and Mosque Commences at the Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation

The Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation (AOGC) has officially commenced the construction project of a new administrative building, as well as a mosque to be built within the Corporation's premises in accordance with a decree issued by the Office of the Prime Minister.

According to the information provided, the project's preliminary technical phase has begun, including geotechnical investigations to assess the subsurface soil conditions at the construction site.

As part of these activities, drilling operations are being carried out using a rotary drilling rig , along with the implementation of the Standard Penetration Test (SPT) .

To date, approximately 70 percent of the technical investigations for the administrative building site have been completed, while the remaining activities are progressing according to schedule.

In addition, laboratory testing has commenced, including soil sampling, determination of Atterberg Limits , measurement of the natural moisture content, determination of soil specific gravity, direct shear testing , and other related geotechnical analyses.

Officials of the Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation emphasized that the accurate implementation of these technical procedures will provide the foundation for the construction of safe, durable, and standards-compliant facilities.
