Herat – Wednesday, October 1, 2026 A fire that broke out in the parking area for oil product transport vehicles at Islam Qala Port has been completely brought under control through joint efforts by the firefighting team of the Herat Oil and Gas Directorate, affiliated with the Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation, and other emergency response teams.
According to preliminary information, 15 oil product transport vehicles were destroyed in the incident.
The Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation, affiliated with the General Directorate of Corporations, remains fully prepared to prevent similar incidents and respond to and control emergencies in a timely manner.
