Minister of Mines and Petroleum Visits Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation’s Storage Facilities and Installations at Hairatan Port

The Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Alhaj Mullah Hedayatullah Badri , visited the storage facilities and installations of the Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation at Hairatan Port during his official visit to Balkh Province.

During the visit, he reviewed the Corporation’s operational activities, petroleum storage capacity, unloading and loading procedures, as well as the available technical infrastructure.

Officials of the Hairatan Port Oil and Gas Directorate briefed the Minister on the Corporation’s ongoing activities and provided detailed information regarding the import, storage, and distribution of petroleum products.

Expressing his appreciation for the Corporation’s efforts, the Minister emphasized the importance of improving storage management, maintaining product quality, and accelerating the transportation process in order to strengthen the country’s energy sector.

He further stated that the Islamic Emirate places special emphasis on strategic energy projects as part of its efforts to achieve economic self-sufficiency.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Minister instructed the relevant officials to further enhance their efforts by adhering to technical standards, ensuring transparent management, and improving service delivery so that the Corporation’s existing capacities can be utilized more effectively to meet the country's petroleum needs.
